Major Recruitment have a rare opportunity to join their food production Client's Hygiene Team on a temp to perm basis.

As an Experienced Hygiene Operator, you will have a background in fast paced production and be confident in taking responsibility for ensuring all machinery, equipment and work areas, reflect the strict hygiene and safety standards of our client.

Location: Shotts (own transport would be required)

Hours of Work: Mon - Thurs 10pm to 6am, Fri 8pm to 3am

Pay: £14.49 per hour (overtime available)

Contract: Temp for 12 weeks moving to perm for successful candidate

Role Overview

As an experienced Hygiene Operative, you’ll ensure machinery, equipment, and workspaces meet strict hygiene and safety standards across multiple production areas.

You must work independently, manage time effectively, and meet tight deadlines. Proven experience offers potential for long-term, permanent progression.

Key Skills & Experience

  • Previous experience as a hygiene operative is essential
  • Strong understanding of Health & Safety procedures
  • Knowledge of cleaning chemical handling and disposal
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent communication skills and attention to detail

Responsibilities

  • Perform hygiene tasks as per rota and assigned areas
  • Operate and maintain cleaning equipment safely
  • Handle and dispose of cleaning chemicals according to procedures
  • Complete hygiene tasks accurately with proper logbook documentation
  • Deep clean production lines, including jet washer use
